Cosmic Dance, Severed Head...say what?!

The age old symbol of cosmic dance has always held a special fascination in the complexity of its meaning and the simplicity of its rendition.  Also known as the "Dancing Shiva", it is a symbol representing the cosmic cycle of birth, regeneration and death.

The "Severed Head", or "Chinnamasta", represents an extreme form of motherhood.  It is revered in Tibetan Buddhism even though it had its origin in ancient Hinduism.
