The Plunger

The traditional use of a plunger is to free blockages in plumbing. Thus we equate a sense of necessary cleansing to its function – the facilitation of flow. If however, we were to acknowledge the importance of such a function in places other than plumbing, could we simply indicate the realm on the tool itself, to suggest the necessity of cleansing?
